All is not well between Riyad Mahrez and Leicester City. During the January transfer window, Manchester City tried to bring the Algerian to the Etihad but Leicester increased his price tag to £80 million, which caused Man City to back away so the whole deal collapsed.
In response to Leicester’s actions, Riyad Mahrez stopped going to practices and all team events, and has been MIA since the January transfer window. Now he’s agreed to return if one of his two demands are met. The first demand is that he wants the club to provide assurance that they will not stand in his way again if City or anyone else wants to sign him. The second demand is that the club would agree to a release clause for him that’s not too high.
