Former Manchester United star defender Patrice Evra has been in the news for all the wrong reasons the past few months. Most notable was the incident where he tried to kick a fan during a Europa League match. This led to him picking up an eight-month ban and a €10,000 fine.
But the controversy surrounding the incident became such a hot topic that Marseille eventually decided to release him. And after months of speculation and transfer rumors, the most likely club that is looking to sign Evra is West Ham.
Football journalist Paul Joyce from The Times tweeted the surprising news. West Ham’s current manager is David Moyes, who also managed Evra during Moye’s short stint as United’s head coach.
